Course Policies

Attendance

Come to class. Seriously, come. There is no standard book that we will be following. The course notes are the course. Take Notes.

Homework

We will probably have about 3 problem sets throughout the semester. They are due at the start of class on the day they are due. They will not be accepted once class starts that day. Extensions will be granted on a case-by-case basis but you have to talk to me to get an extension.

Project

There will be a final project. You will be asked to implement a visualization of some topic that we cover in the course. More details will be given later.

Exams

There will be one midterm and one final exam. The dates are to be determined. These will be given in class and will be cumulative (i.e. everything we covered at the time of the test may appear on the test).

Grades

Grades will be distributed as follows.

• 10% Class Participation
• 30% Homework
• 10% Midterm
• 20% Final
• 30% Project
